GSE Dome hydroponic growing dome – ventilation type

It is an "air-supported structure": there is no steel roof frame, and its highly transparent film captures the maximum amount of sunlight. It can be set up quickly anywhere: city, mountain or desert.

Inside the 27 m dome sits a 20 m diameter circular growing pool with an automatic spacing system: plants are set on the inner circumference and move outwards in line with the programmed daily harvest, with about 15,000 lettuces growing at once. A computer controls room temperature, humidity, water temperature, EC, pH and production rate, via a graphic operation terminal and automatic mode.

Ventilation version: double-layer 60 μm F-CLEAN ETFE film with ventilation function (hot air is vented from the top), Tyvek shading sheet, dew-drop protector, 8 × 0.75 kW ventilation fans, 4 × 8 HP air conditioners, high-pressure misting and an automatic switch-over circuit to a 3.5/4.0 kVA generator in case of power failure. The double-layer film saves energy for cooling and heating.

It includes a 3-section plant unit, float control for spacing, water circulation with temperature, pH and EC control, heat-pump chiller, fertiliser tanks, maintenance bridge, weather station and galvanised steel base frame. Options: snow-sliding sheet, 1.5 kW fans, high-pressure fan, extra or fewer air conditioners, CO2 system, supplemental lighting, reverse osmosis and door heater.
