GSE Dome hydroponic growing dome – full temperature control

It is an "air-supported structure": there is no steel roof frame, and its highly transparent film captures the maximum amount of sunlight. It can be set up quickly anywhere: city, mountain or desert.

Inside the 27 m dome sits a 20 m diameter circular growing pool with an automatic spacing system: plants are set on the inner circumference and move outwards in line with the programmed daily harvest, with about 15,000 lettuces growing at once. A computer controls room temperature, humidity, water temperature, EC, pH and production rate, via a graphic operation terminal and automatic mode.

Full temperature control version: double-layer F-CLEAN ETFE film (100 and 60 μm) with shading function plus ETFE protective sheet, 16 × 10 HP air conditioners, CO2 supply system, high-pressure misting, 2.2 kW high-pressure fan with 3.5/4.0 kVA back-up generator and thermally insulated entrance wall. In rain, snow or wind the computer adjusts dome pressure automatically, and if power fails the generator starts by itself to protect the dome.

It also includes a 3-section plant unit, float control for spacing, water circulation with temperature, pH and EC control, heat-pump chiller for the nutrient solution, fertiliser tanks, maintenance bridge, weather station, air compressor and galvanised steel base frame. Options: reverse-osmosis water treatment, wash sink, urethane entrance wall and spiral piles for soil foundations.
